Building a Greener Future Together: GSF Sustainability Report 2024

We are proud to unveil the Sustainability Report 2024, the third edition in our growing legacy of sustainability leadership across the Global Schools Group network. More than just a document, this report captures the lived experiences, collective action, and purposeful progress we have made together in embedding sustainability into the heart of education.

What sets this edition apart is the depth of collaboration behind it. With contributions from over 40 schools, this report is a testament to the spirit of unity that defines GSG. From students and teachers to parents, operational staff, and global partners—every voice has shaped this journey. Our schools are not just learning hubs; they are vibrant ecosystems of change, resilience, and responsibility.

A Report Grounded in Reality and Vision

The 2024 edition is not merely a showcase of accomplishments. It is a thoughtful reflection—honest about our challenges, open about our opportunities, and proud of our progress. It outlines both what we have achieved and how we can evolve further, offering a clear direction for the future.

Key Highlights from the Report:

This flagship initiative empowers every learner to lead change. ESSA integrates sustainability into student life, making environmental action a part of daily learning.
  • GSG Mock COP 2024
Asia’s first UN-style climate simulation for schools brought together 100+ student delegates from five countries, creating tangible action plans and offering a hands-on understanding of global climate negotiations.
  • Green School Certification
With 10 campuses now certified and all others on the path, our Green School framework drives action across energy, biodiversity, water, and waste—setting new standards in sustainable education.
  • Carbon Tracking Milestone
GHG emissions are now monitored across 36 campuses, and we are proud to report a measurable drop in per-capita emissions, underscoring our commitment to data-driven climate action.
  • Student-Led Projects Across the Network
More than 200 UNSDG-aligned initiatives—from zero-waste campaigns to climate art, reforestation, and community outreach—showcase student leadership at its best.
  • Sustainability in Action Section
This new section brings stories to life from over 25 schools—capturing innovation, creativity, and context-specific impact through visuals and narratives.
  • Recognition on Global Platforms
Our work has not gone unnoticed—featured in the UNESCO Newsletter and celebrated at international climate and education forums, our schools continue to lead by example.

A Call to Deepen Our Commitment

The Sustainability Report 2024 is both a celebration and a call to action. It is a resource to learn from, a record of what’s possible, and a reminder of the responsibility we carry as educators, students, and community leaders. As we move forward, let’s continue to deepen our efforts, innovate boldly, and keep sustainability at the core of our educational mission.
