
Major General Nitin Indurkar (Retd), Associate Director of Safety and Safeguarding at Global Schools Group, has been recognised with the prestigious Bar to Vishisht Seva Medal by President Smt Droupadi Murmu on the eve of India’s 76th Republic Day. This distinguished honour underscores his outstanding contributions to the Indian Army, where he served with excellence for four decades.
A decorated officer, Major General Indurkar has played a pivotal role in operations, logistics, and security, including serving as the Commandant of the Selection Centre. His extensive experience in safeguarding and strategic leadership now strengthens the newly established Department of Safety and Safeguarding at Global Schools Group, ensuring the highest standards of student and institutional security.
The award is part of a larger recognition of 93 gallantry award recipients and 305 defence decorations, celebrating the valour and dedication of India’s armed forces personnel. Major General Indurkar’s achievement is a testament to his unwavering commitment to national service and his continued dedication to safety and security in the education sector.
