A spectacular celebration of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurship unfolded at the Real World Challenges Convention (RWCC), hosted at GIIS SMART Campus from December 4-6, 2024. Bringing together 1,400 students, parents, and academic leaders, the event featured 17 dynamic competitions and sports challenges, offering a vibrant showcase of the boundless potential of students across Global Schools Group Campuses.
Themed "ACE THE SPACE C̅ AI & ai," this year’s convention inspired participants to explore the transformative possibilities of artificial intelligence and creative expression. Students from multiple campuses impressed with their talents across art, essays, speeches, debates, and multimedia presentations, all tied to this futuristic theme.
A significant highlight of the event was the participation of over 140 visiting students at the SMART Campus, fostering collaboration and camaraderie on a global scale. The convention was graced by Mr Naman Gupta, an alumnus of GIIS SMART Campus, as the Guest of Honour, who delivered an inspiring keynote address that motivated students to push the boundaries of innovation and achievement.
The competitions spanned diverse categories, including Quality Circle Presentations, App-novation, Transformation Turncoat, and the Student Conference, showcasing ingenuity and eloquence across all age groups, from kindergarten to secondary levels.
This year, the introduction of the exciting Circuit Cruisers competition added a new dimension to the event. Aimed at secondary students, this robotics challenge encouraged participants to design, build, and race robotic vehicles, demonstrating their technical prowess and creativity.
The grand finale, the Valedictory Ceremony, was a celebration of excellence and achievement. Top honours were awarded to GIIS Whitefield Campus and Witty International School Malad, who emerged as champions, while GIIS Bannerghatta Campus claimed the runners-up position.
In sports, GIIS SMART Campus secured the first position, followed by GIIS East Coast Campus in second place and OWIS Nanyang Campus in third. The 2024 RWCC concluded on a high note, leaving an indelible mark on everyone involved.
