In a remarkable display of commitment to environmental sustainability, students of Glendale International school, Tellapur, Hyderabad worked on a project of transforming a dysfunctional swimming pool into a thriving green vegetable kitchen garden. The students named themselves "Green Warriors" to signify their dedication to environmental causes.
 

The initiative kicked off with students devising a comprehensive plan to convert the unused swimming pool into a productive space for cultivating fruits and vegetables. With sustainability at the core, the Green Warriors formulated a budget plan, and the school management lent its support by facilitating the procurement of necessary materials. This collaborative effort demonstrated the synergy between the students and the school in fostering a culture of sustainability.

The students diligently sowed seeds and nurtured the plants, tending to them with daily care and attention. The once desolate swimming pool soon flourished into a vibrant garden, yielding a bountiful harvest of fresh produce. Notably, the Green Warriors went above and beyond by distributing the fruits and vegetables among the school's support staff, fostering a sense of community and sharing the fruits of their labour.

To enhance their understanding of sustainable farming practices, the students went on a field trip to Deccan farms. This experiential learning opportunity provided valuable insights into various farming techniques and crops that require low maintenance. The students absorbed knowledge first-hand, witnessing sustainable agricultural practices in action and gaining a deeper appreciation for environmentally friendly farming methods.

The Team then compiled and analysed data representing the crops cultivated and harvested. This meticulous planning and documentation laid the foundation for future development, as the students strategised ways to expand and improve their sustainable initiative.
